Vans' Vibram-Soled Brogue Skate Shoe Does It All
Sorry, Vans' latest Authentic can't come to the phone right now. It's busy juggling being a dress shoe, work boot, and skate sneaker.
The OTW Authentic 44 Siped Vibram indeed wears many hats. For one, It's part brogue dress shoe, featuring those familiar ornate cutouts on its glossy leather uppers.
Underfoot is where things get rugged. The Vans sneakers feature grippy Vibram rubber soles, a feature often found on outdoor models and tactical shoes. It also has micro-siped tread, which helps disperse water, and it sort of tag-teams with Vibram in providing seriously great traction.
And the rest is pretty much the classic Authentic model but elevated. It's an OTW sneaker, so it features high-end touches, most notably the patent exteriors and creamy leather insoles.
The brand offers its OTW Authentic 44 Siped Vibram in green and black colorways, both of which are now available on Vans' website for $115. There's also a red pair, which seems to be mostly available overseas.
We already knew Vans' skate shoes to be quite versatile. Models are dressing as Chanel bags, while others think they're outdoor boots.
And there's the OTW Authentic 44 Siped Vibram, the skate shoe that quite literally does it all.
