Vans has moved on from sneakers. Ok, that might be a reach, but the skatehouse is certainly bringing the skatepark into the boardroom in a very intentional manner.

The glossy "Glass Leather" Vans Loafer is the opposite of everything we've come to expect from Vans as a skatehouse. It's corporate, buttoned-up, and basically the acting antithesis to everything a standard skate shoe is.

Even Vans' more recent dabbles into luxury-inspired sneakers like the Chanel-ified Old Skool 36 Souvenir and keyed up Authentic sneaker still have a degree of ruggedness that ensures the shoe's intended shred-first purpose is clear.

These loafers, however? A totally different ballgame.

From its high-gloss leather upper to its fringed tassels, this loafer is better suited for corporate throwdowns than kickflips and ollies.

Though, since this is still a Vans shoe at the end of the day, it still has the skatehouse's signature rubber waffle outsole, which means it is fundamentally thrash-ready even if it doesn't look it in the slightest.

Available on the Vans website for about $85, the glossy Vans Loafer also comes in a patinaed brown leather colorway that looks aged and elegant in the best way possible. The tassels are also removable, which offers some extra flexibility where formality is concerned. You can take it from formal to slightly less formal, which is great for those days when you have insider trading at 4:00 and skateboard lessons at 5:00.
