And just like that, Nike's Moon Shoe, the brand's first-ever sneaker, is back.

Technically, the Moon Shoe already returned to Earth through a stylish Jacquemus collaboration (the brand just recently released two more colorways, which sold out in the blink of an eye).

Nike is now preparing its most classic sneaker for a general-release rollout, featuring more widely available colorways and only Swoosh branding.

The reborn Nike Moon Shoe preserves most of the original design, with minor variations and modern updates. Expect the general slimmed-out look, complete with crisp textured uppers, vintage-style suede, and slick leather Swooshes.

OG Nike fans can also count on the model's famously thin soles with the iconic Waffle grips on the bottom.

The Moon Shoe's revival aligns perfectly with Nike's nostalgic vision right now. The brand has been digging deep into its archives, unearthing its oldest models, like the LD-1000 and even the Sprint Sister (which got the same Miu Miu-style treatment as those "Ridgerock" AF1s).

Plus, with flat-soled retro sneakers holding strong on the market, the Moon Shoe is another solid addition the craze, with a co-sign from one of the world's hottest fashion brands.

Nike's Moon Shoe is expected to make a full comeback in two colorways, white/red and white/black. The sneakers are said to be releasing sometime this year on Nike's website.
