New Balance put the hybrid shoe game on its back. That's a fact backed up by the famous Miu Miu New Balances, flattened a formerly thick sneaker, and the NB 1906L loafer, which paved the way for loafer-sneakers everywhere.

Now, New Balance is venturing out into the daintier side of the hybrid shoe spectrum with the Flat Breeze, a super flat and super cute Mary Jane.

Think traditional ballet flat sprinkled with light touches of a typical dad sneaker.

Kitted with the effortless elegance of a ballet flat and the wearability of an NB sneaker, the Flat Breeze is a hybrid shoe unlike anything currently in the New Balance stable.

Instead of traditional laces, the Flat Breeze wears a shortened lace system that resembles the dainty bows found on traditional ballet flats, while the suede paneling and mesh upper keep things super sporty-chic.

Compared to other New Balance hybrid variants that maintain a certain dad-shoe essence, like the 1906L loafer or the 9060 sandal, the Flat Breeze maintains a rather delicate disposition. That is to say, it's lowkey more Mary Jane than sneaker, a fact underscored by the flat outsole that is totally of the thin shoe moment.

Available online for $117, the Flat Breeze is one of slimmest (and daintiest) hybrid shoes to grace the NB universe.
