Now that A$AP Rocky's two week jail time is up, the Swedish prosecution has requested to hold the rapper longer while it continues to investigate the case, the BBC reports.

The rapper was initially arrested on July 3 and accused of aggravated assault. His detention hearing is expected to take place today, and the prosector looking into the case has requested an extension until next Thursday, July 25.

Rocky's detention has caused uproar around the world, with celebrities and members of congress alike standing up to call for his release. According to reports yesterday, President Trump is also involved in attempting to free Rocky from jail after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West lobbied for White House action.

The extension request also applies to the two other men arrested alongside Rocky. One of the alleged victims is also apparently being investigated for abuse, assault, and attempted assault.
