Apple is expected to launch new over-ear headphones in June surrounding its Worldwide Developers Conference. News comes from insider and leaker Jon Prosser, who broke the story just this week.

According to Prosser, the internal name for Apple's over-ear headphones is "B515." They reportedly draw similarities to Bose's high-end noise-canceling headphones, the 700, and will retail for $350.

In addition to the over-ear model, Apple is also rumored to launch AirPods X in September or October. These will be designed for sports, similar to the Beats X. They are expected to retail for $200, which is double the price of the Beats X.

Apple is said to have been working on an AirPods alternative for years. Per Prosser, the Cupertino-based company is slowly phasing out the Beats brand as the mainline AirPods brand is reportedly more valuable to Apple. Apple employees can currently get their hands on Beats products for 40 percent off due to the company's desire to rid itself of inventory.
