Editor’s Notes: We're only a month into 2022, but Gucci has already brought the heat.

The luxury label recently released the Bamboo 1947 bag that instantly made it onto our wish lists, and now it is adding to its footwear offerings with the new Gucci Run sneaker.

Taking on a futuristic sportswear design, the silhouette is crafted from a technical knit fabric and finished off with a thick midsole. The caged outsole sports Gucci's signature interlocking "GG" logo, which is also subtly featured on the lateral of the sneaker.

Arriving in a handful of colorways including minimal iterations such as white and black, as well as bold blue, yellow, and grey designs, the shoe is perfect for those looking for a not too sporty-sporty shoe.

It's become obvious that luxury brands have taken a look at where the footwear world is going, with performance-oriented labels such as ASICS, Salomon, New Balance, HOKA, and more are having a moment right now. Gone are the days of chunky, uncomfortable dad sneakers, because now we're focusing on comfort over style – but Gucci manages to combine the two pretty well.
