George Floyd's brother, Philonise Floyd, will testify before Congress on Wednesday as part of a House Judiciary Committee hearing on "Policing Practices and Law Enforcement Accountability."

A source told CNN that it has not yet been determined whether Floyd would testify in person or virtually at the first House hearing on policing reforms since his brother's death.

Floyd told reporters that he had spoken to President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden regarding his brother’s death. He revealed that his interaction with Trump had been brief, while his conversation with Biden was more in-depth.

“The vice president, I loved his conversation. He talked to me for like 10, 15 minutes. And I was trying to talk his ear off because he was talking to me constantly. Great conversation" he said, adding, "But Trump, it lasted probably two minutes.”

Philonise and Terrence Floyd have both spoken publicly about police brutality after their brother, George Floyd, died on May 25 after a Minneapolis police officer named Derek Chauvin placed his knee on his neck for more than eight minutes.

His death has sparked protests across the United States and the world, calling for structural change to combat police brutality and institutional racism.

Chauvin is set to make his first court appearance later today.
