Fursac and Mephisto's collaborative Dribbler sneaker is wonderfully subdued.

French clothing brand Fursac, known for Franco-forward menswear, combined sneaker sub-genres to create a masterfully toned-down sneaker: it's one part skatewear, one part tennis court shoe, and one part vintage regalia.

In collaboration with shoe-wear brand Mephisto, Fursac has successfully paddled out into the choppy waters of lowkey sneakers.

The Dribbler sneaker, which comes in a navy and black and white-on-white colorway, has a thick rubber outsole with a transparent "window" near the heel, showcasing the sneaker's bounce-enhancing "Shock Absorber."

Despite its name, the Dribbler has the body of a full-blown skate shoe and sits firmly in the same stylistic wheelhouse of other skate-heavy sneakers that are dominating the proverbial skate park of style, specifically the Air Jordan 4 RM.

The Fursac sneaker does lean preppier, though, implementing just enough leather throughout the upper to make this sneaker suitable for both a skate sesh in Venice Beach and dinner at SUR (RIP to the OG Vanderpump Rules, you will be missed).

The Dribbler sneaker also has a purposefully dated vibe, likely a result of Fursac's artistic director Gauthier Borsarello's penchant for vintage design style.

In fact, the sneaker's timeless underbelly gives it a visual edge compared to its more rugged comrades.

Its demureness, is its superpower.
