adidas has made its classic Jabbar sneaker even more, well, classic.

The latest Jabbar Low comes dressed in a timeless black-and-white color scheme, paired with crisp leather uppers, all of which quietly elevates the iconic design.

adidas basically put the model in a nice suit.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's signature shoe has seen other classy iterations during its revival, with a few spins coming from New York's very own Willy Chavarria. The eponymous label has delivered Samba-level Jabbars with extended tongues and even point-toe dress shoe styles, all crafted from quality materials, of course.

The Jabbar is still the Jabbar over 40 years later. Not much has changed from the initial design. adidas even brought back some of its original colorways.

But the sneaker also wears more modern outfits now, like trendy cow-print looks and faux-denim ensembles. And these efforts were good. But nothing quite beats a Jabbar in a suit and tie.

Speaking of which, the Jabbar Low "Core Black" sneakers are now available on adidas Japan's website for ¥15,400, or around $98.
