Before Virgil Abloh passed, he founded a film studio called ARCHITECTURE FILMS with two friends. Now, his documentary is premiering at Sundance this week.

"Over a year ago, Virgil, Chloe, and I promised each other we'd start making film," wrote Mahfuz Sultan on Instagram, adding, "We miss dreaming with you V, we are so infinitely infinitely infinitely grateful to you."

The documentary follows Sha'Carri Richardson, the American track and field sprinter who made headlines last year after qualifying for the Olympic Games, but later got disqualified due to marijuana. Her disqualification was the catalyst of plenty of conversations regarding drugs in sports, as the NBA has begun to allow marijuana, especially as it is legal in plenty of states.

Teh documentary was filmed across two days in June 2021 in Eugene, Oregon at the U.S.A. Track and Field Olympic Trials 2020, and is 24 minutes long.

Titled Sub Eleven Seconds, the story follows the athlete's journey, and is described as a "rumination on time, loss, and hope." "Time is my blessing and my curse. On the track, I've been blessed to run fast. Off the track, time has cheated me. You don't know when something or someone will be taken from you," Sha'Carri says in the trailer.

Directed by Bafic and with Virgil Abloh as the film's executive producer, the film premieres at Sundance 2022 online, and will be available between January 20th and 30th, with more information available on its website.
