Double Tap to Zoom

No high-street store does collaborations as well as UNIQLO. From the brand’s UNIQLO U offering, made every season in partnership with Christophe Lemaire, to JW Anderson’s seasonal slot, UNIQLO has drawn a clear line between affordable wardrobe staples and luxury fashion. One of the more exciting new collaborations from the Japanese retailer came earlier this year in the form of UNIQLO x Marni.

The unlikely matchup caused quite a stir online, as well as building queues of people hoping to bag themselves Marni at a fraction of the price. Pretty wild, then, that you can actually secure one of the best pieces from the collection right now in the UNIQLO sale for less than $20.

UNIQLO x Marni was a playful, colorful affair decorated with childlike florals and striking color palettes. One of the more wearable pieces of the collection, which made perfect use of the bright palette without going over the top, was the Packable Parka. This super-lightweight layer landed in two colorways, our favorite being the Dark Green issue.

Cut from ultralight, non-cling nylon, the jacket was obviously ideal for the summer months. But, we’d argue that actually its lifespan extends well into the colder seasons, too. Layering is back on the cards, so while the UNIQLO x Marni Packable Parka might not work as a top layer anymore, it begins a new life as a mid-layer, bringing a pop of color underneath your overcoat.

Whether you’ve got the fit planned already or not, we’d recommend bagging one of the remaining sizes because we don’t expect it to stick around at this price for much longer.
