SUPRA isn’t just a skatewear brand, it’s a skate institution. Starting back in 2006, the brand has pumped out iconic product—including the widely-recognized Skytop model—year after year. Honoring both the legacy of the Skytop and the brand as a whole, SUPRA is launching the Decade Series, starting with a flip on the original Skytop.

Inspired by a wall in the personal studio of skateboarder/Skytop co-creator Chad Muska, the “Layers” Skytop replicates a blank canvas that’s been painted over time and again, with older colors bleeding through into the newer layers of paint to create a unique surface. Like SUPRA’s own advancements over the years, the aesthetically layered effect on the Skytop’s surface simultaneously reflects the years of history and design that have gone into all of SUPRA’s products over the last decade. As Muska himself put it, “As we progress, we’re constantly changing, but the first designs and advertisements will always remain and be a part of whatever we do next.”

Set atop of an eye-grabbing pink sole, the Skytop is set off by a speckled blend of colors that mimic a hand-painted canvas. The words “Forever” adorn the footbed and a stitched “X” marks the back quarter panel on the shoe—nods to SUPRA’s 10 years in the game. With the SUPRA “Layers” Skytop already on shelves and available now, keep your eyes peeled for new installments in the Decade Series, coming in the near future.
