Prada Donates Entire Intensive Care Units to Italian Hospitals

Prada has just donated new intensive care and resuscitation units to three hospitals in Milan, Italian publication Corriere reports.

In a brief statement (which we translated from Italian), Prada announced that it donated "two full units dedicated to intensive care and resuscitation to each of the following hospitals in Milan, Italy: Vittore Buzzi, Sacco, and San Raffaele." The donation was made by head designer Miuccia Prada, CEO Patrizio Bertelli, and chairman of Prada SpA, Carlo Mazzi.

Prada's generous move follows a series of recent donations made by Italian designers. Giorgio Armani has donated $1.4 million to four Italian hospitals — Milan's Luigi Sacco, San Raffaele, and Istituto dei Tumori, along with Rome’s Istituto Lazzaro Spallanzani. While Milan's San Raffaele Hospital has also received a $220,000 donation from Donatella Versace.
