Editor's Notes: As the years go by, it becomes increasingly difficult to imagine your favorite pair of sneakers getting any better. With the market heavily saturated by collaborations and general release pairs that hit retailers and e-commerce platforms at a weekly frequency, there are times when it feels like we’ve seen it all.

In the case of staple sportswear styles that have been adopted by the mass market thanks to their easy-wearing aesthetics and effortless palette-swapping capabilities – such as the Nike Air Force 1, adidas Superstar, New Balance 550 – you might argue that no more need be done.

Perfection, in the world of Reebok, certainly lives with the Club C. A classic silhouette with a storied history, it feels as if anything less than perfection would be impossible, and yet, there has been the odd misfire.

This upcoming collaboration with Packer, however, ticks every box. Maintaining everything that we love about the Club C, Packer adopts a less is more strategy, and it pays off.

The show’s staple white upper remains, updated with varied textures and contrasted with a flood of maroon across the lining. Further elevating the construction is off-white coloring applied to the midsole, resulting in an aged finish that would sit nicely next to a vintage bottle of red.
