Those who planned on swerving duds this winter may consider TNFPL designer Eiichiro Homma as the most tempting of shoulder devils. The Japanese cult favorite presents what is essentially a souped-up version of The North Face’s “Brooks Range” Parka, taking design cues from protective combat uniforms worn by US special forces. Bells and whistles include a GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ 2 membrane to ensure you stay bone-dry in even the wettest of weather; KODENSHI®︎ down fill, which is basically the caviar of insulation; and other geeky details like a stand collar and adjustable waist. It could probably double as a camping tent, too.
