Nike & sacai's Latest Jacket Drop Might Be Their Best Work Yet
Nike and sacai are a match made in heaven. Unlike many other collaborations, It feels like each brand is pushing the other creatively, instead of resorting to the lowest common denominator of co-branded, mass-appeal production.
Following the success of Nike x sacai's various footwear collabs, notably the LDWaffle and the upcoming VaporWaffle, three new jackets are dropping later this week after first being seen on the FW19 sacai runway.
Volume, shape, and texture are at the core of the new products, which offer an alternative to the onslaught of puffer jackets. The wool melton version (above, left) will arrive in three different color schemes to highlight the surprising contrast of winter textures.
Elsewhere, the faux fur piece will come in four new colorways, which once again sees sacai creative director Chitose Abe employ a sense of humor to integrate an unexpected fabric into a sportswear staple.
The Nike x sacai outerwear collection is available from October 25 at sacai and October 28 on Nike and at selected stores.
