Editor’s Notes: Alongside the unveiling of Nike’s latest Air Jordan, the XXXIII, The Swoosh has announced the Jordan Apex-Utility, a sneaker that combines the iconic Air Jordan I with one of the brand’s latest technologies, React cushioning.

While the React cushioning is definitely a game-changer, another design aspect that stands out immediately is the choice to cover the Flyknit Air Jordan I upper with a translucent textile material. Other popular Nike sneakers, such as the Nike React Element 87 and the OFF-WHITE Zoomfly, have proven to be very popular among sneakerheads thanks to the translucency of their uppers.

The Nike Jordan Apex-Utility won’t drop till later this year for a retail price of $200, so while you wait, check out the official images above and leave your thoughts in the comments below.
