Judging by this new leather Field General, the model misses the football field.

Before becoming a clean everyday shoe co-signed by Timothée Chalamet, the Nike Field General started as a football sneaker, worn by famous players like Archie Manning and Dan Fouts.

The newest "Cinnamon" leather Field General goes back to the model's roots, essentially. It offers up these nice pebbly textures and stitched-up Swooshes seemingly inspired by a football.

It's sort of similar to the Limosine Skateboards x Nike SB collaboration, which, weirdly enough, featured a football-textured Dunk skate shoe.

Nike has released other nice leather versions of the Field General, including pairs covered in COMME des GARÇONS logos and versions wrapped in chocolate-level goodness.

But the latest is especially luxe. It's also serves as a quick and clever history lesson on the iconic model, which is now a fashion-y sneaker.

There's no release date just yet for the new leather Field General sneaker. But with official pics already here, it's safe to assume these "Cinnamon" beauties will be hitting the streets and Nike's website soon.
