Double Tap to Zoom

If you've been on Twitter today, there's no way you've missed the fact that Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz got married.

The marriage is in fact quite old school – it is uniting old money and new money – building an empire that is only just being founded as we speak.

For those unfamiliar, Brooklyn Beckham is of course the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, and Nicola Peltz is the daughter of Nelson Peltz, an American billionaire businessman and investor.

To be honest, I didn't know much about Nicola Peltz prior to her relationship with Brooklyn Beckham, except the fact she was in Transformers: Age of Exctinction with Mark Wahlberg, which is a movie I absolutely love, but scored a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Brooklyn and Nicola have been gushing over one another since the beginning of their relationship, doing relationship quizzes on YouTube, leaving comments on Instagram posts, getting tattoos (Brooklyn has multiple tattoos dedicated to Nicola), and attended the Met Gala together. Basically, they're just really, really in love.

Peltz has previously been dressed by Valentino for big events, including the Met Gala, as well as the label's fashion shows, and for her wedding, she wore Valentino Haute Couture – paired with Versace's Aevitas platform heels.

First of all, I just want to say that that is absolutely iconic. Secondly, she had a custom pair made in white. Her mother also wore a custom Versace gown, so it's a family affair.

Of course, the Versace heels have been all over the internet, with plenty of people obsessing over them – especially Gen Z – but I don't think anyone would have ever expected them to become wedding shoes but here we are.

In my opinion, the choice to wear this year's most iconic shoe is incredibly cool, regardless of what the internet is saying.
