The Weeknd has delivered on his promise to drop new music. Two days after releasing his single "Heartless," the Grammy Award-winning artist has gifted fans another disco-infused song, "Blinding Lights." Instead of a traditional accompanying music video, the singer premiered the song in the campaign for Mercedes-Benz's new all-electric vehicle, the EQC — watch it above.

Titled "Enjoy Electric," the campaign sees The Weeknd cruising through town in the electric car to the soundtrack of his new single. As the love song unfolds as do the memories of the automaker's legacy. The singer's nostalgic disco track steers the campaign, which celebrates 133 years of Mercedes-Benz's design innovation. Listen to the song in full below.

Not only does the short film star The Weeknd and debut new music, but the artist also serves as its creative director on the project. Mercedes-Benz shared the news of the collaboration earlier this week.

"We are delighted about the collaboration with Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd", said Bettina Fetzer, Mercedes-Benz's vice president of marketing. "The cooperation was inspiring and gave us lots of new and creative impetus. Abel's talent as the creative director and performer is the right combination for this unique Mercedes moment on the road to an electric future."

The EQC serves as the first Mercedes-Benz vehicle under the EQ brand. The car is powered by two electric motors, with a combined output of 300 kW. Additionally, the EQC has an electric range of approximately 445 to 471 kilometers.
