Double Tap to Zoom

It's pretty unfair for Vans skate shoes to look this good and luxurious. But that's what happens when Vans and Life is Unfair come together.

The London label is behind the latest collaboration with the famous skateboarding brand, which includes three furry takes on Vans' iconic skate models.

(It wouldn't be the first hairy skate shoe or even skate loafer we've seen.)

Amongst the lineup is the beautiful, goth-style Mary Jane WS LX, wrapped in all-black pony hair and finished with punk-ish details.

The collaborative Mary Jane gets its own double grommet strap, like the belts that ruled the school halls in the 2010s. And it's not completely studded-out like previous rockstar-coded efforts, but it does feature two embellishments on the heel and a stud-printed insoles. Good enough.

The whole collab is pretty nostalgic, which is the point. Life is Unfair's Vans collection is really for the folks who geek out over collectible items and archival treasures. Mega-classic Vans logos and graphics can be found throughout the capsule, unlocking core memories for longtime Vans diehards.

Life is Unfair's collection also includes a zebra-print Authentic and marshmallow-flavored Half Cab, both dressed up in pony hair, of course. The offering is now up for grabs on Vans Sweden's website, with the Mary Jane skate shoes retailing for 1399.00 kr (or $151).
