Leica Unveils New M10-P Celebrating World of Cinema

Leica is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the American Society of Cinematographers with a limited-edition M10-P.

The "ASC 100 Edition" is an all-black camera with a gold anodized Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH lens, a call back to Leica inventor Oskar Barnack's prototype of the first 35mm camera. An ASC logo on the top plate will seemingly disappear in certain lighting conditions.

The camera comes preloaded with two modes specifically for cinematographers: "ASC Cine Classic" for a classic analog 35mm motion-picture film look, and an "ASC Contemporary" mode for current digital styles. It also comes with the Leica Visoflex EVF and Leica M-PL-Mount adapter to accommodate any PL-Mount cine lens

Retail for the "ASC 100 Edition" is set at $17,500. You can cop it at Leica stores and select boutiques now.
