From the tragedy of his grandmother's passing, rising artist Kuma Overdose was able to find meaningful inspiration. Using the experience growing up with a dual identity in an Asian American household in the suburbs of LA, Kuma has found renewed artistic purpose in blending the sonic touchpoints of Japanese folk music with Western-oriented hip-hop stylings. The result is transfixing magic; check out the Lord Apex-featuring track "Wonda" and its accompanying hypnotic visual below.

"Wonda" is set to appear on Kuma Overdose's LOFTY. EP. Speaking on the project, Kuma Overdose says that “I am an Asian American who is stuck in between two worlds, I am able to see both sides clearly yet I do not belong to either. I want to use this project to encourage people to try new music despite the language, region, or period it is from.”
