After it was confirmed earlier this week that Kanye West was expected to meet with President Trump today, October 11, Variety reports that he'll also be present for the signing of the Music Modernization Act.

In addition to his planned lunch with Trump and meeting with Jared Kushner, West will also be present for a signing ceremony of the Music Modernization Act, "a sweeping bill to reform music licensing and royalty payments long sought after by the industry and artists."

Other music industry representatives that will attend the signing include Neil Portnow, the Recording Academy CEO, RIAA president Mitch Glazier, and vocal Trump supporter Kid Rock.

The legislation, initally passed in September, guarantees songwriters and artists will receive payments for recordings prior to 1972, in addition to improved payments for music played on streaming services.
