JPEGMAFIA has officially submitted his entry for the "hot boy summer" movement in the form of "Jesus Forgive Me, I Am a Thot." Consider the solo single to be an anthem for those that have chosen to leave their thotty lifestyles behind in favor of something holier than thou. In a promotional tweet that he recently posted, Peggy wrote "THE DISSAPOINTMENT IS INBOUND, I TELL NO LIES. THIS IS JUST THE TIP."

The moody track sees the noise rapper making references to religious symbols while also name-dropping celebrities like Charlize Theron and David Byrne as he reflects on his life. The flow is noticeably more somber as Peggy also draws attention to the current sociopolitical climate as exemplified with the poignant line "Pray when you shoot, it's a homicide" and "Pray that these crackers don't Columbine."

JPEGMAFIA recently collaborated with Channel Tres on the feel-good jam "Black Moses." Back in March, he made a special guest appearance on Flume's Hi This Is Flume mixtape. (Revisit our review of the project here.) Still no confirmation about when Peggy will drop the follow-up to 2018's Veteran, but stay tuned for more updates and watch the Andrew Mcglennon-directed visual unfold above.
