This is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill, but it looks like Jamie Oliver knows his onions from his leeks when it comes to sneakers. Who knew?

For those who have unexpectedly found themselves here whilst searching for easy 30 minute Jamie Oliver meals (try his "Very British Bolognese" recipe FYI) I can only apologise, for the British chef has been spotted cooking up a serious sneaker storm as he departed Good Morning America in New York on January 10.

The recipe? Nike Air Max 1. The seasoning? Patta.

Now, I know Jamie Oliver isn’t an archetypal Highsnobiety style icon (I mean, I can almost guarantee his name has never as much as been uttered at HS HQ), but when Britain's most stereotypically-Essex chef is spotted clad in a pair of sought-after AM1, it’s fairly hard for us to ignore.

And, following a bit of digging, it turns out he's is quite the fanatic when it comes to the bubbly Nike silhouette (see below video, but feel free to skip the recipes) and has been captured on a number of occasions rocking the sporty number.

For Oliver, a colorway from the mainline collection feels kinda understandable, if not a little surprising, but a collaborative Patta Monarch take? That’s different gravy, son.

In truth, there’s little to be said about the rest of his rig — a shirt on a shirt above a t-shirt — but when your sneaker game is this strong, it doesn’t really matter.
